When the economy tanked in 2009, we found ourselves in a situation similar to many small business: we had very little work and our capital was running out.
We were extremely lucky and fortunate enough to land a large project. However, because we were running out of capital, it was difficult for us to pay for the products we needed to implement the project.
Because we have always valued our vendors and treated them as partners in everything we do, they returned the favor to us. We were extended, without really even asking, the credit we needed. This was a tipping point for us. This one project in 2009 helped to propel us to into a different business.
While we were on the verge of failure, it was our trusted relationship with our vendors that afforded us the opportunity to keep going. We built some momentum, hit a few more nice projects and just continued to grow.
We put our money back into developing the business and years later, we are a completely different company. Everyday, I acknowledge how blessed we are. With every new project and customer we assist, our reputation continues to grow and I could not be happier.
